Raiding Rules

NIGHTFALL RAIDING RULES.

Attendance

- All members must be available to raid between the hours of 19:30-23:30 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and from 18:30-23:30 on Sunday. In the event of RL issues which do not allow you this, YOU MUST notify us (details will follow)

- The Trialists (ranks explained below) must have an attendancy of at least 75% in the mandatory 25-men raids before they become Members. If the period of two weeks is not enough due to various reasons (example, not enough trial chances) it can be prolonged accordingly.

Ranks

Guild Master and Officers

The Guild Master along with the Officers have the final word on all Guild decisions. They set the Guild's realistic targets and policies and have the right to invite and remove new members in the Guild.

They are the only ones who can lead 25-men raids, with the help of assistant officers.

Guild Council

The Council Member is a very important rank, reserved for the most loyal and committed guild Members. The Council Members work with the Guild Master and Officers and have a say in all important Guild matters including recruitment, trialist promotions and conflict resolution among the members. The Council Members can lead 10-men raids and old world raids.

Member

The Member rank is given to all Trialists who have proven their commitment to the guild after their trial period. The decision to approve a trial to become a member is taken by the Guild Master, Officers and the Guild Council by voting. All Members have equal rights to participate to the raids according to the available slots for each class.
The current Raid Leader decides on the final raid composition taking in consideration raid attendance and gear but also giving fair chances to all Members and Trialists. Members can suggest new Trialists and they can become Guild Councils at later stages, when there is a need for more Councils.

Trialists

The Trialist rank is given to all new recruits. After a period of two weeks the Trialists become Members or get denied and leave the guild. In this two weeks period the trialists will be given enough opportunities to raid with the Guild so they have all their chances to prove they worth to become Members.

Raiding

- All members must have installed
> A boss helper add-on (big wigs, deadly boss mode etc)
> Omen
> EPGP
> The class related addons specified by the class officer

- The official raiding schedule of Nightfall is as follows (server times):
>Wednesday: 19:30-23:30 25-men mandatory raid.
>Thursday: 19:30-23:30 25-men mandatory raid.
>Friday: Free day.
>Saturday: Free day.
>Sunday: 18:30-23:30, 25-men mandatory raid.
>Monday: 19:30-23:30 25-men mandatory raid.
>Tuesday: 19:30-23:30 25-men mandatory raid.

- The raid invites will be issued at 19:30 (or 18:30 on Sundays), all members are expected to be online at this time.

- Going AFK without letting the raid know may result in your removal from the raid.

- Once every two raiding hours we will have a 10 minute AFK time.

- If you know you have to leave early, SAY SOMETHING AN HOUR IN ADVANCE SO WE KNOW. For example, if you know you have to leave at 22:00, just send a tell to the raid leader saying so. We're not going to punish you if you have to leave early, but we expect to be notified. If we get stuck on content and you suddenly say \\\"I gotta go\\\" and log off immediately, we'll just assume you ninja logged and you will be held accountable.
- When the Raid Leader is talking about the tactics and when the Loot Master is looting, raid silence apply. This means all raid members should not use /raid /s /e /y /g chats to facilitate the process. Failing to do so repeatedly will result in EP penalties. It also means: no \\\"grats\\\" \\\"I have\\\" \\\"pass\\\" etc. The ONLY words are allowed are: \\\"bid\\\", \\\"bid offspec\\\", \\\"bid if no one else\\\" or \\\"cancel my bid\\\"

- After a boss is killed NO ONE loots that boss. Looting of the badges is allowed only after all members are ALIVE. Failing to do so repeatedly will result in EP penalties.

- Link of the loot in the Guild channel or in the Raid chat is strictly forbidden. Failing to do so repeatedly will result in EP penalties.

- If you have a complaint or issue to bring up to an officer, do it AFTER The raid. Raid hours are not designed to be a whine fest, you bring any problems up AFTER raiding.

- As far as suggestions for improvement, by all means bring those up. But not during the raid, except if the Raid Leader and/or the Assistants clearly state we will have a break to discuss new tactics. If everyone starts suggesting his own tactics in the middle of the raid, this will lead to confusion and lost time, we keep the forums updated with all tactics suggestions, please keep the suggestions there and always visit the forums regularly to know the updated tactics we are going to use.

- Good ideas and suggestions are for the forum, NOT during a raid. Breaking this rule will get you kicked from the raid immediately, the raid leader is leading, NOT you.

Preparation

- Be able to acquire mats, rep, and equipment outside of raid time. You must come prepared with your own consumables and reagents. If you intend to only show up for the raid, but put no effort into what goes into being raid prepared Nightfall is not the guild for you.

- Be prepared by reading the Nightfall tactics posted on the tactics forum. Failing to do so repeatedly will result in EP penalties and/or raid removal.

- Raid targets are announced after the raid invites, meaning you must already know everything about our tactics before even accepting the invite. All our tactics can be found at our forums, Nightfall has its own tactics, DO NOT read Bosskillers.com or similar tactics and think you are covered, failing to read and understand our tactics in our forums means you are not prepared for the raid and will result in losing your raiding slot in the current raid. Failing to do so while being a trialist may result in your trial being failed.

- Along the same lines, you are expected to bring your own consumables. THIS MEANS multiple stacks of food, potions, everything. Raiding in TBC is very consumable dependent whether you like it or not.

- If you're dps bring several stacks of each kind of dps potion, if you're a healer bring plenty of mana pots, if you're a tank bring some stoneshield pots and elixirs of defense, etc.

- For all BT, HS and SP raids you are expected to have and use flasks and/or elixirs. Failing to have them may result in an DKP penalty.

- The Flasks should not be used on trash, only on boss fights and can be replaced by the appropriate Elixirs.

Attitude

- ACCOUNT SHARING IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. In the event of a verified account share you will be IMMEDIATELY removed from the guild and never be accepted again.

- Kill stealing, ninja looting, taking advantage of others for personal gain, or any other kind of unethical behavior will NOT be tolerated. If you are accused of any of these types of behavior an officer will contact you for your side of the story as well as the other party involved. Action will be taken if necessary. If the officer determines to his/her own satisfaction that you were involved in any of these unsavory acts, the officers and leader of the guild will vote on possible removal from the guild.

- No obscene language or behavior that is upsetting the others will be tolerated in any way.

- If you have a problem with someone, don't be afraid to bring it up with the person immediately, or contact an officer so we can resolve the issue. Adults will curse, but please..we all know what's considered highly offensive. A good rule of thumb is that if you're not sure if it will offend someone or not, then it WILL.

- We expect you to treat fellow gamers with respect. This includes avoiding axcessive use of foul language.

- Always remember that you are carrying the Nightfall guildtag below your name. Dishonoring and talking trash for no apparent reason can get you kicked if you go out of line. This includes official forums and other gaming boards involving The World of Warcraft.

- Be active. The guild is build with the intent to explore and progress in World of Warcraft, in raids and heroic dungeons. For this to be possible everyone needs to be active and work on their character to improve it. Not being able to attend to raids or not working to improve the character for a while should be an exception, post on the forums to let the guild know if RL things interfere. Only if people are active and working forward we can progress.

- Aid the others. By giving directions, offering advice, participate when they ask for your help and you have the time to offer it either they are guild members or not. We want Nightfall to be a model guild in Moonglade and everyone to respect it.

- Learn to give, not always to ask for things. If you have something in excess consider donating it to the guild bank for the others to be able to take it from there. When you will be in need of something the possibilities to find it will be better if we all do the same.

Forums

- All Nightfall member MUST check the forum for new announcements at least before login. All in all we are a community and we take our decisions in the guild forums, use the forums to be an active member of the community otherwise you will be left out even if you are online in the game all day and night.

- Posting explicit or fault pictures or/and material is STRICTLY forbidden.

- If you need to be absent one day, inform us on time.
